The Verdict

A bamboo-built day club on a two-hectare jungle plot in Celuk, with a published seat ladder that is unusually clear about what each unit costs and how many people it seats, and a menu that is unusually expensive for inland Gianyar. It suits a long, slow lunch-into-afternoon rather than a party: the venue's own event calendar has listed nothing since February 2026. The caveats are travel time and self-contradiction — it markets an Ubud address it does not have, runs two live menus that disagree on price, and states no entry fee, no age policy and no terms of any kind on its own website.

The Jungle Club Ubud Review: A Celuk Day Club 9.5 km From Ubud Palace

The Jungle Club Ubud opened on 9 August 2024, per Bali Buddies' launch article of 23 August 2024, and calls itself a day club throughout its own material — page titles, meta description, and an Instagram bio reading "Bali's Only Intimate day club". It is operated by Ini Vie Hospitality; the copyright line on every page places it in that group's Wonderspace collection. The same 2024 article describes a site spread over two hectares of jungle. The venue publishes twelve bookable seat types across four named zones, with minimum spends from IDR 500,000++ to IDR 20,000,000++ and per-unit capacities from two guests to twenty-five. Gates are open 10 AM to 8 PM daily. The coordinates behind its own Google Maps link, -8.5921959 and 115.2688208, put it roughly 9.5 km south of Ubud Palace, in Celuk.

Introduction: Getting to The Jungle Club Ubud

The venue markets itself as "Southern Ubud" and prints an Ubud address in its site footer, while its own booking subdomain prints a different one naming Celuk in Kabupaten Gianyar. Tripadvisor files the listing under Sukawati. Celuk sits between Ubud and the coast; the nearest landmark is Bali Zoo, which the Bali review site bestbeachclubsbali.com places immediately next door.

The distance matters more than a map suggests. That same site, reviewing the venue in August 2025, reported that "what ought to be a 30-minute drive can easily become an hour or even two hours in a car". It found plenty of parking and a drop-off point in front of the building, while noting that ride-hailing cars in this part of Gianyar can be slow to arrive for the same traffic reason. The venue publishes no shuttle, no transfer service and no parking capacity of its own.

Where is The Jungle Club Ubud?

Jl. Jaga Raga No.8A, Celuk, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80582, Indonesia

The venue publishes two addresses for one building. Its site footer carries "Jl. Jaga Raga No.8A, Ubud – Bali 80362" on every page; its booking system carries the Celuk version above, postcode 80582. The street line is consistent; the postcode is not, and neither version has been independently confirmed.

Opening Hours:

Monday to Sunday, 10 AM to 8 PM. The venue prints this in its site footer, on the cover of its menu ("OPEN GATE 10 AM - 8 PM"), and on the third-party listings that carry its terms. Two qualifications belong with it. The site's own structured data contradicts the site: its LocalBusiness schema declares 09:00 to 17:00 seven days a week, while the footer two inches below says 10 AM to 8 PM — both read on 4 September 2026. Two Bali dining directories list a 9 PM close, which may be the on-site spa's hours bleeding into the listing; Svaha Spa publishes 10 AM to 9 PM. bestbeachclubsbali.com adds one closure the venue does not publish anywhere: Nyepi.

Dress Code:

Resort wear encouraged, smart casual as the minimum. Football and sports shirts, beverage-branded shirts and flip-flops are listed as not permitted. That wording is consistent across two third-party listings carrying the venue's terms, but appears nowhere on the venue's own website, which has no terms page and no FAQ at all.

Overall Score: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ 2.8 out of 5 stars (56%)

Quick Verdict:

A bamboo-built day club on a two-hectare jungle plot in Celuk, with a published seat ladder that is unusually clear about what each unit costs and how many people it seats, and a menu that is unusually expensive for inland Gianyar. It suits a long, slow lunch-into-afternoon rather than a party: the venue's own event calendar has listed nothing since February 2026. The caveats are travel time and self-contradiction — it markets an Ubud address it does not have, runs two live menus that disagree on price, and states no entry fee, no age policy and no terms of any kind on its own website.

What Makes The Jungle Club Ubud Special?

The building is the argument. The venue describes "exquisite bamboo architecture" merging with the tropical landscape, and "a variety of unique spaces, from elevated decks to hidden caves". Those spaces are named and separately priced: Bambu Restaurant, The Jungle Deck, The Jungle Floor and Boho Cave, with Jungle Jetty named as a fifth section in 2024 press. Boho Cave is the differentiator — a cave sold as a private area for up to 25 guests, and as two individually bookable lounges.

Two on-site attractions are priced in the open. The jungle swing is sold as "Swing into Paradise" at IDR 200,000 NETT — the only NETT price the venue publishes anywhere, and the one figure a guest can budget exactly. Svaha Spa Celuk operates on site with its own hours and price list, from IDR 300,000 for a 30-minute treatment to IDR 850,000 for a 90-minute couples' warm stone massage, and is not included in any day-club package.

The bar has more character than the programming. The current menu carries five Balinese arak cocktails at IDR 145,000 with a 60 ml pour; a flight of Nikka vodka cocktails at IDR 180,000++ a glass, 1 PM to 6 PM only; two-for-one classics at IDR 165,000 from 4 PM to 6 PM; an Aperol Spritz tower at IDR 485,000++; and a complimentary mini food pairing with every glass of wine. Bottles run from IDR 465,000 for an Indonesian Hatten muscat to IDR 32,000,000 for a magnum of Armand de Brignac.

The Prices the Venue Publishes

Every minimum spend below is quoted ++: before an 8% service charge and a 10% government tax, the convention the venue's own menu states twice. It never says whether the tax applies to the net figure or the service-inclusive subtotal, so this review computes no totals. Budget roughly a fifth on top of every figure here.

Zone Unit Minimum spend Seats
Bambu Restaurant Table IDR 500,000++ 2
Bambu Restaurant Sofa Lounge IDR 1,500,000++ 4
Bambu Restaurant Sofa Permanent IDR 1,500,000++ 4
The Jungle Deck Sofa Lounge IDR 1,200,000++ 4
The Jungle Deck Sunbed IDR 1,500,000++ 2
The Jungle Deck Daybed IDR 2,000,000++ 4
The Jungle Deck Sunken Lounge IDR 3,500,000++ 8
The Jungle Floor Sofa Lounge IDR 1,200,000++ 4
The Jungle Floor Daybed IDR 2,000,000++ 4
Boho Cave Sofa Lounge IDR 2,500,000++ 2
Boho Cave Sunken Lounge IDR 3,000,000++ 3
Boho Cave Private Area IDR 20,000,000++ 25

Read from the venue's own site on 4 September 2026.

The minimum is spend, not a cover: it is redeemable against the à la carte menu. Third-party listings carrying the venue's terms add that it cannot be taken in cash, gives no change, and that moving between unit types mid-visit triggers the new unit's minimum. Prepaid versions of three units carry an uplift the venue does not advertise itself — IDR 800,000 against IDR 1,000,000 of credit on a Jungle Deck daybed, IDR 1,200,000 against IDR 1,500,000 on the Jungle Floor, IDR 400,000 against IDR 500,000 on a restaurant table.

À la carte, food runs IDR 50,000 to IDR 785,000 before service and tax: a Balinese crispy duck at IDR 285,000, a 200 g Black Angus tenderloin at IDR 465,000, a Caesar salad at IDR 95,000. Signature cocktails are a flat IDR 175,000, a bottle of Bintang IDR 95,000, a soft drink IDR 55,000.

Public offers carry their own terms: a Boho Cave private escape at IDR 5,000,000++ for five hours and up to 12 guests, whose stated validity ran to 31 May 2026 and which is still listed; a silver-crafting experience at IDR 945,000 NET per person, valid to 31 December 2026; and a complimentary 15-minute massage against a minimum spend of IDR 1,300,000 for two — a figure matching no unit on the venue's own ladder.

Entry is the one price the venue will not state. Its own structured data prints a price range of "IDR 250.000++". Third-party resellers sell entry as a redeemable first-drink charge at IDR 130,000, marked down from IDR 250,000, and at IDR 150,000. Nowhere on jungleclububud.com is an entry price published at all.

What This Review Cannot Tell You

Sound. No source — venue, listing, directory or reviewer — describes the PA, its coverage or its volume. Not scored here.

What the food and drink are actually like. Every quality claim on the record belongs to someone else: Tripadvisor subratings of 4.9 for service and 4.8 for food across roughly 204 reviews, read from search results because the listing refused a direct fetch, and Chope's 5.0 across 29 reviews.

Whether entry is charged today, and at what. Three figures circulate — IDR 130,000, IDR 150,000 and IDR 250,000 — none on the venue's own site, and the reseller voucher carrying the lowest expired in March 2026 and is still listed.

Whether children are admitted. Four sources describe an adults-only venue, one setting the floor at 17. One reseller's own voucher terms say the opposite: "Kids and adult allowed". A ticketed event there in July 2026 was listed 20+. The venue publishes no age policy anywhere.

How many pools there are. The venue's own 2024 blog says six; 2024 press describes a three-level pool by the river; the site says "infinity pools" without a number; bestbeachclubsbali.com describes one long, narrow River Pool.

Its Google review count. The 4.9 rating is consistent, but the count is 1,703 in the venue's own structured data, 2,704 in one search snapshot and 3,992 in an aggregator.

Whether Jungle Jetty is on sale. It is named as a section in 2024 press and a third-party listing has priced seats there, but the venue's own seating page lists none.

Our Review Breakdown for The Jungle Club Ubud

This is a desk assessment. It draws on the venue's own website — homepage, venue, offers, social event, spa and DJ pages, plus its blog and sitemaps — read on 4 September 2026; its current menu PDF, modified 30 August 2026 and transcribed from page renders because the file carries no text layer; its Instagram account; two third-party listings reproducing the venue's own terms; and bestbeachclubsbali.com, a competitor review site whose visit-based review of 11 August 2025 is quoted as testimony rather than adopted as fact. Seven of the nineteen categories carried enough evidence this review could verify for itself; the other twelve need a visit.

Minimum Spend ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)

The best-documented thing about this venue. Twelve units are published with a price, a zone and a seat count, from IDR 500,000++ on a restaurant table for two to IDR 20,000,000++ for the whole Boho Cave — a ladder most Bali day clubs do not put in public at all. It is spend, not a cover, redeemable against the full à la carte list, and the prepaid route adds real value. Two deductions: nothing gives change, so an unspent balance is forfeited, and the venue's own spa flyer still advertises against a minimum of IDR 1,300,000 that no current unit matches.

Social Media ⭐⭐⭐☆⭐☆ (3.5/5)

Instagram is the venue's live channel and it is genuinely live: around 30,000 followers, 690 accounts followed, and a post dated 2 September 2026 when the account was read on 4 September. The bio does practical work the website skips, carrying the location and the 10 AM to 8 PM hours. Facebook and TikTok accounts exist and are linked. Against that, the linked YouTube channel returned a 404, the footer's Tripadvisor link points at the write-a-review form rather than the listing, and the events calendar has been stale since February 2026 — leaving Instagram as the only current source of what is on.

Pre-Club Advertising ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)

The content operation is large and current: the WordPress sitemaps carried 287 blog posts on 4 September 2026, 99 modified in 2026 and the newest dated 3 September, and the robots.txt file explicitly allow-lists AI crawlers by name under the comment "Allow AI search and agent use". What that machine is not doing is keeping the guest-facing surface honest. The offers page still leads with the August 2024 soft-opening flyer whose alt text reads "free entrance day club ubud" though entry is now charged, expired offers stay listed, the page sitemap omits the homepage and the venue page, and the top-nav events link returns a 404.

Entrance Fee ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2.5/5)

The mechanism is reasonable and the disclosure is not. Entry is a first-drink charge, redeemable against a drink, at IDR 130,000 to IDR 150,000 through third-party resellers — against a menu whose cheapest signature cocktail is IDR 175,000, that is fair, and it is avoidable entirely by taking a seat with a minimum spend. None of it is published by the venue: its own structured data says IDR 250.000++, the site has no page stating an entry price, and the circulating figures differ by nearly a factor of two.

Booking Process ⭐⭐☆⭐☆☆ (2.5/5)

The venue page lists all twelve seat types with a Reserve button beside each, and every one of those twelve buttons resolves to the same WhatsApp number — there is no seat-level online reservation, and no way to pick a specific unit rather than a type. A separate prepaid voucher store runs on the venue's own subdomain in seven languages, but its catalogue loads client-side and could not be enumerated here. bestbeachclubsbali.com rated the process 3 out of 5, describing that same limitation and calling the data collected on the form excessive. The deeper problem is that the venue's own site carries no terms, no refund policy and no age policy, so every published condition reaches a guest through a third party.

Menu Pricing ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5)

The menu is public and complete, which is more than many Bali venues manage — and then it undermines itself. The venue serves two live menus: a PDF modified 30 August 2026 and an HTML restaurant page last modified 24 June 2025. They overlap on nine dishes and disagree on six, with the grilled sampler at IDR 635,000 on one and IDR 785,000 on the other, and a Black Angus tenderloin at the same IDR 465,000 for 250 g on the page and 200 g in the PDF. The PDF carries three tax conventions across 18 pages, including a spa page claiming "21% goverment tax & service chare", which reconciles with 8% plus 10% under no arithmetic. The HTML page states no tax convention at all and still carries unreplaced Lorem ipsum. Dietary icons are unreliable — the vegetarian leaf sits on a dish whose own description says chili con carne.

Location ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5)

The site itself is good — two hectares of jungle, next door to Bali Zoo, quiet and genuinely secluded. The name is the problem. The coordinates behind the venue's own Maps link put it about 9.5 km south of Ubud Palace, in Celuk, which sits in Kecamatan Sukawati rather than Kecamatan Ubud; Tripadvisor files it among Sukawati restaurants; and its own booking system prints a Celuk address while its footer prints an Ubud one. bestbeachclubsbali.com marked it down for the same reason. Inland also means no sunset over water, which is the single thing most of the island's day clubs sell.
